This restaurant was located at 190 Third Avenue in NYC in 1930s. Miniature vintage mug. Made in Bavaria, Germany. Manufactured before World War II. Features Joe King's German American Rathskeller Restaurant, 190 Third Ave, New York N.Y. In 1936. Joe King opened a restaurant serving "moderately priced German dishes and imported beers" in a German Renaissance Revival Building on Third Avenue and 17th street. This was once the outskirts of New York City enormous German immigrant enclave, Kleindeutschland. By the 1930s Little Germany had mostly moved to Yorkville.
