80s genuine leather combat boots *see below

Bought online years ago, loved them, realized the heel makes a noise when I walk. Took them to 3 different repair places, all of whom said it would be too extensive an operation, just keep wearing them and eventually the sound will settle. Lost track of the seller and could not return. Maybe you know a shoe repair magician? Maybe walking with a squeak in the heel doesn’t drive you crazy? Maybe you just want them for a photoshoot??
