Hi! Thank you for visiting my listings. This one is a literal rescue. The original framing on this was a disaster, so I guess the original owner thought it was a good idea to throw the whole thing away. My friend and I could not have disagreed more, and so we retrieved the piece from the trash, disposed of the frame, and salvaged this beautiful work from an ignoble destiny at the town dump. We cannot tell from the signature, but our online research suggests that the artist may be Ruben Lebrun. In any case, we feel this work has at least some cultural and historical significance worth preserving. Hopefully, it will go to a home, school, or studio where it will once again enlighten and encourage a new generation of folk artists. It measures approximately 26" x 23" edge to edge.
