Manitoulin “Haweater” Dollar Coins

Selling two Manitoulin Island $1 Coins known as “Haweater” coins from 1980. These tokens were only good on Manitoulin Island, the largest freshwater island in the world located in Lake Huron. The natives of this island used to eat haw berries which were abundant on the island and they became known as “Haweaters”. Coins are composed of nickel.
