Vintage Brown Leather Armchair

A vintage Mission armchair with a solid oak frame and leather seat & back. I bought this chair years ago in a secondhand shop where they didn’t know what they had. Spent hundreds of dollars having it reupholstered in gorgeous mahogany leather, only to have my new cat claim it as a scratching post. I’ve included a closeup photo of the scratched leather. During Covid, the right hand armrest came loose and I did a not-so-good job nailing it in at the back. I’ve provided a close-up photo of the nail, as that will have to be removed and the armrest properly reattached. The front of that arm rest is completely loose (see photo). It pushes down onto its post and works just fine, but it’s loose. I’m giving this treasured chair away for free in the hope that someone loves Mission furniture and wants to restore it to it former glory and vintage charm.
