Kyoto Ware Style Ceramic Basket, Textured Bright Florals!

A vintage Kyoto ware style Japanese ceramic basket with a bamboo handle with hand-painted, textured florals. This basket is perfect as a trinket tray or a standalone piece of unique decor. "Kyoto ware" is known for its flamboyant and vivid use of colors, such as the bold yellow and orange-red seen here. Bold seasonal floral designs (like these chrysanthemums or camellias) are hallmarks of the style. The petal-shaped or scalloped wavy edges of the bowl are characteristic of traditional Kyoto "rinka" (petal) forms. The base is marked "MADEIN JAPAN." The item is in good condition, with no apparent chips or cracks. There is slight wear to the finish, consistent with age.
