This antique photogravure is framed in a beautiful ornate metal frame What’s a photogravure, you ask? The photogravure is an intaglio print process that was sometimes used to produce high-quality reproductions of photographs in ink This piece is titled “The Poacher” by Peter Henry Emerson British writer and photographer His photographs are early examples of promoting straight photography as an art form The frame has Convex glass with etched rose in the top left corner Please check all my pictures as I tried to capture all the details Mint condition - glass is perfect, no scratches One of a kind art piece If you are creating a gallery wall with unique art pieces this is your missing link!!!
