AT-LP2D-USB https://www.audio-technica.com/en-ca/at-lp2d-usb This is the precursor to the current entry level offering from Audio-Technica, the AT-LP60. This is an entry level turntable with a built-in preamp (which has an off switch if you want to use a discrete phono preamp), RCA and USB out. This is an automatic turntable (just hit the play button and the motor comes to speed the tonearm swings and drops into position to start playing) and has speed control to play at either 33.3 or 45 rpm. A switch on the front allows you to adjust whether or not you’re playing a 7 inch or 12 inch record. I’ve made minute adjustments to the potentiometers on the bottom of the unit to ensure the play speed is correct against a speed gauge app on the iPhone. It’s possible you may need to do this again after transport. I bought this turntable in 2008 when I started collecting vinyl, and served me well enough, but my collection and my audio gear has progressed to a point where it made sense to me to upgrade. The player originally shipped with a copy of Audacity for Mac and PC on a CD, but the latest version is offered for free these days. It could probably use a new stylus. It uses the ATN3600L. You can find a knockoff on Amazon or buy a new one at just about any record store. This is the same stylus used in the AT-LP60, and is very much still available.
