Digital print of my original artwork. It is a scan of an analogue collage. This print will be signed, it’ll go by the number 5/10. The name of the work is ‘Yggdrasil.B’ I will be glad to present my art as a Christmas gift to someone who will appreciate it. This type of work is time consuming but really satisfying. To create an original analogue collage I used pages from magazines, carefully peeking right colours and cutting out desirable shapes to assemble those in a new way. The aim of my art practice is to explore aesthetic ways to reuse existing images and unneeded printed materials by creating new meanings. I believe that such a symbolic act of recycle draws attention to the ecological crisis in general and the problem of overconsumption in particular. The subject of an art work is a Scandinavian sacred mythological tree Yggdrasil - which is a symbol of life and eternal harmony of the universe.
