It’s a traditional style of embroidery which is mainly done by rural women folks of East Punjab (India) and West Punjab (Pakistan) Phul (flower) +kari (making) literally means flower making. Phulkari Embroidery on this shawl/Dupatta has been don with soft threads. They can be felt fluffy by touching. It is done on the wrong side of the fabric.
