Hoselton Canada polished cast aluminum turtle

Pickup Oakville, fourth line and upper middle. Handcrafted in Ontario, Canada by Carl and Gordon Holselton, this minimalist piece is iconic of the mid-century (1960s/1970s). This piece showcases the minimalist, abstract, and organic design principles characteristic of the Danish Modern style. It is hand poured aluminum into a sand cast mold then polished for the reflective finish. The artist has signed the bottom and has model number 410 (turtle).
