It's almost brand new, but there are scorch marks on the bottom of the iron. I can't see the scorch marks on my black clothes. Also, I usually use the iron with a thin towel over my clothes. I tried to get it off with toothpaste, but it didn't come off. I've heard that wiping it off with baking soda will remove it, but I don't have any in the house so I haven't tried that.
