This John Masters organic hair pomade has only been used once. It’s too heavy for my hair, so I’m giving it away to someone who wants it. This stuff is very expensive, it costs over $20 at health food stores, it cost me almost $30. This hair pomade is quite heavy and will work best on thick, very curly, coily, very dry/damaged, dense, coarse hair types. It could also work well for braids, dreadlocks, twists, etc but it has a very strong sort of sweet beeswax and earthy type smell. So if you don’t like the smell of raw beeswax, then this isn’t the product for you, it has a scent that people may or may not like. It is primarily made up of Beeswax and other organic/natural ingredients, so just something to keep in mind. It does not smell like drugstore products, however the product itself is very good for the right hair type, and it’s extremely emollient, nourishing and moisturizing. It will last a long time if used sparingly. It melts into an oil/balm consistency when worked in between hands. You only need to use a tiny amount at a time as it’s very rich, you’ll want to start with a small amount, you can always build it up if needed, as it is thick and comprised mostly of Beeswax, and other various oils, but I still would not recommend this for thin/fine or straighter hair types. There are no holds for any of my free items, it’s first come first served. #freecycle
