Signed Greenlandic tupilak by Karl Egede Kristiansen, carved in either caribou (reindeer) antler or whale bone and securely mounted on its original stone base.
Measures approximately 8 inches tall with base. The underside retains the original “Greenlandic Arts & Crafts” label and is clearly incised “K.E.K.” with Greenland inscription. Original Qaqortoq, Greenland retail tag retained.
Expressive example featuring the classic stacked multi-figure form. Crisp carving with fine detail and natural grain visible throughout.
