348We are looking for a few volunteers for the Jade Dragon Pirates section of the Piratefest in Guelph. August 3, 4 and 5. Volunteer for one day or all three. If you volunteer for a minimum of 6 hours, you can be fed by the festival and we can give you one of the games to keep. You have to put together a simple ‘crew’ outfit. Muted colours. No ‘tacky’ outfits or ‘pushed up cleavage and/or heels’. Our crew should look fairly much like a crew would look like. (See photos) Bandanas. No hats. You will be assigned a tabletop game to learn and then teach to others. Ages range at this event so you must be able to communicate with kids AND adults. You must be 16 or older. We would also be happy to sign for student volunteer hours. If, by the end of your volunteer time, you’d like to be Jade Dragon Crew, and you worked out well, we can talk. The Jade Dragon Pirates were formed in BC. When two of us (the ones who headed it up) moved back to Ontario, the rest stayed in BC. We’d like to build a crew here as well.
