Beautiful locally harvested manitoba maple burl. This piece is 2" thick and has been dried to the perfect moisture content. All knotholes and voids on the face have been filled with black epoxy and then sanded to 3000 grit. Then applied 2 coats of Osmo oil which is food grade. Top sits on a very heavy cast base salvaged from an old bar in alberta. Piece includes 2 vintage chairs that are all original. The upholstery has been professionally steam cleaned, everything has been tightened and 2 coats of furniture wax applied. Wanted to leave the vintage status to the chairs. This set is perfect for a small kitchen, bar area, reading room etc. Get yourself a 1 of a kind piece. know that this tree was cut down by me, milled and then finished by me.
