Hey Karrot family! For this month’s Freecycle it’s time to Spring Clean and GO GREEN 🍃 Are you procrastinating your Spring cleaning? Still got a pile of clutter at home? Not to worry! Join us for this month’s Freecycle event and get rid of items you no longer need. When you participate in secondhand trading on Karrot you’re helping to make the world a greener place by reducing waste and carbon emissions. At Karrot, we want to create a community that strives to make a positive environmental impact, which is why for the prize this month we decided to give out gift cards for 3 eco-friendly brands - Patagonia, tentree, & Lush. 💚 🎁 Prize: $100 gift card for 2 winners, $50 gift card for 3 winners, $25 gift card for 10 winners! A high proportion of its materials are made from recycled fabrics, and it’s business model rejects fast fashion by creating high-quality, long-lasting products. tentree Apparel tentree.ca : A Canadian clothing brand using sustainably sourced fabrics for a ZeroWaste Future. As the name suggests, they plant 10 trees for every piece of clothing sold. Lush lush.ca : A cosmetics brand known for it’s “naked” packaging with around 65% of their all-year-round products sold without any packaging. The rest are packaged using recycled and recyclable materials. Terms and Conditions - Users who upload three or more "freecycling listings" between May 21 0:00 - May 30 23:59 will be counted as valid entry. - Listings with price set at $0 with #freecycle tag in the title will be counted as a valid "freecycling listing". - Winners will be randomly selected. - Users can only win one prize. - This promotion is only open to signed up & verified users in Ontario. - Prize winners may be asked for a short interview from the Karrot Team. - Listings must include pictures of actual items and an accurate description. - Listings must follow Karrot's guidelines and policies. Items listed in Karrot's Prohibited Items will be excluded. - Engagement may be monitored to verify the validity of the completed transaction. Listings found to be fake or ingenuine will be disqualified. - Winners will be announced as an in-app post on May 31. Each winner will get a chat message from the Karrot Team on prize redemption. A valid email address will be required to receive the gift. - Karrot reserves the right to modify, cancel and limit any promotion at any time and without prior notice.
