Made by McCoy in the 1940's, to instill patriotism, during wartime. There's a simple "USA" mark on the bottom, and that's it. It has a couple of hairline cracks, but is otherwise in good shape. Nice shiny glaze. The eagle is surrounded by 15 stars, and an American style crest. These covered dishes were made in blue and brown, and are scarce, as few were produced, and many didn't survive. Neat old piece of Americana. Pick up in Glenbrook, SW.
