Coombs suffered a stroke on September 10, 2001, and died eight days later on September 18, 2001, at the age of 73. Mr. Dressup was filmed in Toronto and Ernie Coombs lived in Pickering and spent a lot of time in Scarborough. Mr. Dressup is a Canadian children's television series, starring Ernie Coombs, a former understudy of Fred Rogers, in the title role. It ran on CBC from 1967 to 1996, soon becoming an iconic presence in Canadian media. Condition New. Published by Save The Children Canada
