Three beautiful original stained glass window panes salvaged from Brooklyn brownstones built in the late 19th century. Price listed is for all 3 together. Individually priced as follows: 1. A partial, beautiful blue glass leaded window pane in the beaux-arts style with a “cat-tail” motif hinting at its past as a portion of a larger “lake themed” picture window. Currently in need of complete restoration and re-leading, with several damaged or missing pieces. Salvaged from a Brooklyn brownstone built in the 1880’s (dating from the age of the renown nyc art nuveau glass artist Dale Tiffany) . The original frame was badly damaged by water as it sat outside after being discarded by a buildings owner. Being sold as is for restoration or as salvage art glass (hopefully the former) $500 or best offer. 2. Large vertical rectangular window. Clear wavy glass with colored beaux-arts accents on a backdrop of latticework and interlaced circles. Approximately 5ft in height and 2.5 in width. Currently partially framed by 3/4 of the original wooden window frame and its original iron support bars. Some noticeable cracks on individual panes in need of resetting and restoration for use as a window but perfect as is for use as a decorative accent or window hanging. $1200 or best offer. 3. A single double glazed window from a 18th century weighted double hung in its original frame, featuring an “outlined rectangles” geometric pattern with both clear and iridescent beveled glass panes. Lets in a great deal of natural light which refracts as rainbows both from the prism effect of the beveled glass and on the window itself as a feature of the iridescent panes. Would be beautiful as a transom , upper pane, or window hanging/ privacy window. In good structural and cosmetic condition and insulated by a full sheet of glazed glass on the exterior facing side. Asking $500 or best offer. Offers considered. This is a chance to own a beautiful and timeless piece of historical, architectural art glass, saved to live another century beautifying your family’s home.
