18th Century Hand-Colored Engraving Women of Kamchatka Prévost

This original plate is from the famous "Histoire Générale des Voyages," published circa mid-late 1700's (my research indicates 1760 but cannot verify 100 percent) by the Abbé Prévost. It features the ethnographic studies of Jacques-Nicolas Bellin, the Royal Hydrographer to the French Navy. Item Details: Artist: Engraved by Benoît-Louis Prévost after J.N. Bellin. Subject: Detailed depictions of the indigenous Itelmen (Kamchadal) people of the Russian Far East in three distinct attires: Ordinary, Ceremonial, and Grand Finery.
