Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999L smartphone for sale. Used and has a few cracks on the screen. It comes with the original battery and an additional brand new battery that lasts much longer. I upgraded the firmware to 4.3 with baseband T999LUVUBOH1, and I flashed the /e/Operating System ROM based on Lineage 14.1, which has Android OS Nougat 7.1.2 and was made for all variants of the SGH-T999. This is the reason that it says the phone is an SGH-T999 model in Settings even though it’s actually the T999L (the phone shows the correct model in Download Mode). Calling, texting and mobile data on 4G LTE all work and you’ll able to visit any website and download apps that operate on Android 7.1 or older. That includes most social media apps like Instagram and WhatsApp, however Twitter and Tumblr require an Android version too advanced for this phone’s operating system. As for banking apps, TD’s and Scotia-bank’s apps use a later Android version, CIBC’s and PC’s mobile app don’t work because the CIBC app requires a later version of the /e/OS (the ROM installed has 0.9) and PC’s mobile app doesn’t work on phones either unlocked bootloaders or custom ROMs, but RBC’s, Tangerine’s and BMO’s apps work. You can also use the web browser to bank online if your bank’s app doesn’t work. The phone has two apps for downloading apps: the /e/ App Store and Aurora Store. The /e/ store has lots of popular apps that are free, and if you can’t find the app you’re looking for in its search feature then you can look for it in the categories section. If the app you want doesn’t work or you still can’t find it then you can use Aurora Store and vice-versa. Aurora Store acts as an anonymous client to Google Play Store and grants you full access to Play Store apps. Google Maps doesn’t work on this phone, but it has a pre-installed map app that is just as good if not even better. However if you still prefer Google Maps I installed a shortcut, or PWA (progressive web app) for the online version. The pre-installed Mail app works with any email address except Gmail, although you may have to use manual setup with an app password rather than a regular password. If you need to access your Gmail account you can download the app from one of the app stores to do that. Wi-fi also works on this phone but only on 2.4 GHz frequencies. When transferring files between a computer and the phone you must toggle between PTP back to MTP in USB configurations in developer options in settings. The phone has an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery (TWRP) but is not rooted, and is also carrier unlocked so it’ll work on any Canadian mobile network (I tested it on Freedom’s network as well as Koodo and Telus and it worked). It comes with a double USB port wall plug charging block, a mini-USB cable, an unused Freedom SIM card and an 8 GB microSD card that hasn’t been formatted yet.
