Syrian Hamster

Unfortunately we have to re-home our hamster as we are having to move to a non pet friendly apartment. Her name is Eowyn (a-o-win, like from lord of the rings) and she is a bit of a character! She has no problem being handled but sleeps most of the day so you either have to wake her up out of her burrow or wait until late at night to hang out with her. I also read that hamsters only tend to bond with one or two people in their life but we’ve had friends and family handle her with no problems! She would come with her cage which is a converted ikea bookshelf, all accessories inside (plus a couple extra we like to swap out to keep her enriched), a couple extra bags of bedding, some treats, depending on how soon she is adopted we may have some food leftover to give as well. We are aware the cage is a little unconventional but after a lot of research we realized that it was a great option for a hamster cage! (Look up ikea detolf bookshelf as hamster cage on YouTube!) The glass bookshelf she is in is on top of another ikea bookshelf which makes it its own little unit (see pictures). If you just want the glass portion the rehoming fee we are looking for is $100. If you want the lower book case as well we would be willing to let it all go for $150 We are located on UBC campus in Vancouver.
