Vintage MCM Canadian Soapstone Owl Sculpture by DIMU

Brutalist style vintage mid-century modern soapstone owl figure/bookend by renowned German-Canadian artisan Dieter Muckenheim, professionally known as DIMU. This highly stylized, block-style geometric carving is an authentic piece of mid-to-late 20th-century Canadian art. Features a natural deep green color and characteristic carved details. - Solid stone, weighs about 5 pounds and would make an ideal bookend - there are some scratches and signs of age, common with soft materials such as soapstone.
