ππΌ Main Intersection: Herkimer & James St. S. ππΌ No holds without deposit; first come first serve Crafted in a time where quality meant something, this small accent table is all about charm and functionality. With Knapp joinery (similar to dovetail joints; see below) on the inside and card catalog pulls on the outside it has an antique, apothecary vibe to it. Freshly repainted in a dark grey and sealed, this table is ready to live on for many decades more. Smaller than a standard side table (see photo next to a couch for reference) this small table works well as an accent piece - and would be perfect as a plant stand too! Measures: 15β high x 14β wide x 12β deep βThe Knapp joint, patented by Charles Knapp of Waterloo, WI in 1867, was a huge advance for the furniture industry because it could be made quickly by machines called routers, which could create circular cuts in wood. This meant that a the furniture factory could produce quality construction at a faster rate than shops that still relied on hand tools. This technique was primarily used from around 1870 until 1900.β ππΌ Pickup after 7pm weekdays downtown Hamilton near St.Joeβs Hospital at Herkimer. ππΌ Local delivery available for a small fee.
