Vintage Mexican Abalone Shell over brass trinket box

This is a small box with a curved lid. The box is inlaid with pieces of iridescent abalone shell. There is brass trim around the box and lid. It measures approximately 4" long by 2.5" wide and 1.5" high. Condition is very good for its age. There is a rough surface to the abalone shell due to the nature of the material. Trinket box was hand-crafted in Mexico.
