Vintage Midcentury Modern Royal Dux Pheasant Jaroslav Jezek

Time to add to your midcentury modern loving home. This porcelain figurine is from the highly respected company Royal Dux. It is from the 50s, a well documented piece and this design was only in production from 1950 to 1959. The artist is Jaroslav Jezek and he was the master of the abstract sculptural forms for the company and his pieces are highly sought after. This bird often has the tip of his tail damaged - but this one is perfect. 12" long and 4.5" tall - it is just right to make an impression on the shelf without being overwhelming. Signed of course.
