Carved wood weeping Buddha, I used to have a whole series of these, lost half in the divorce in 2004, this is the last of them - I gave all the others to family and friends but I was not able to find anyone who wanted this last one which I found in a box in the basement! Hopefully there’s a new home for this These sell for around $20, I remember the whole set was a wedding gift and cost over $500 but there were around 10 pieces to the set with the largest being over 12” It is believed that the Weeping Buddha is crying for the suffering of the World, he internalizes the grief and troubles of the World.
