Willowdale Donation Announcement

☀️ Hey Karrot family! Our Willowdale fundraiser has finally come to an end. Over 1 month, we managed to collect $900 which has been donated to NeighbourLink North York. Thank you to everyone who used #Willowdale to declutter and donate. It makes us proud to have such a lovely community helping us make North York a better place! NeighbourLink needs the support of the community to continue their work of building community and serving those in need. Funds generously donated with the help of the Karrot community from the Willowdale Virtual Yard Sale will go towards their $50K end of the year fundraising goal so they can keep going in 2022! Here is just a small sample of what NeighbourLink North York have achieved this past year: - Launched a food bank and provided nutritious food to over 500 individuals for Thanksgiving - Distributed $45,000 worth of food through our Mobile Food Support initiative - Encouraged 75 single moms with gift baskets (created by community members), floral bouquets and cookie decorating kits for Mother's Day - Placed over 50 youth from an under-resourced community in a paid pre-employment program and/or employment workshops - Mobilized 70 youth to volunteer in our Youth Mobilization Network.
