Vintage Folk Art Wooden Whirligig Man Sawing Wood Mechanical Wind Toy Vintage handmade wooden folk art mechanical toy / whirligig style figure of a man sawing wood. The piece features a simple mechanical linkage system that moves the figure when the propeller/wheel is turned by wind or by hand. When spinning, the figure performs a sawing motion. Hand carved and painted wood construction with metal linkage parts. Approximate length: about 19 inches. Condition: Two small mechanism pins are broken or missing. Despite this, the piece still moves and the mechanism operates when the propeller is turned. Replacing the pins may improve the stability of the mechanism. Shows normal age wear, paint wear and marks consistent with vintage handmade folk art pieces. No maker mark found. Please see photos for details and condition. This is a vintage wooden windmill toy.
