Bhajan-Mandli Garba Mahotsav | August 22, 2026 | Genesis Centre, Calgary. Traditional Navratri Garba the way it's done back home. Live mandli, aarti, no DJ, no stage show. Limited capacity. Tickets $30, or $25 each for groups of 5+. The mandli sits inside the circle rather than on a stage above it. Dholak, dhol, and voices carry across the hall, and the rhythm decides when you move. Aarti opens the night. No countdown, no DJ, no light show. Just the sound many of us grew up with, played the way it was always played. Bhajan-Mandli Garba Mahotsav is presented by Kalika Kreations, a new venture rooted in cultural heritage. We started it to bring that sound and that feeling back to Calgary. Devotion runs through the whole evening. The decor, the lighting, and the atmosphere have all been put together to bring back the warmth of the traditional Navratri nights many of us grew up with and have been missing ever since. We are keeping the room small on purpose. Big-scale Navratri events have their place, but a tighter capacity keeps the circle close and makes the night feel like home rather than a crowd. Bring your family, bring your friends, and celebrate Navratri the way it was meant to be felt. The Musicians: Most Navratri events put the singer front and centre and leave the musicians somewhere behind them. Here, the musicians are the night. Live bhajan-mandli prachin music, the kind you probably grew up hearing in the small villages and societies during Navratri. Featuring local Gujarati artists who have performed on major stages across Canada, brought together by Kalika Kreations exclusively for this event.
