The Line 6 TonePort UX2 (later rebranded as the POD Studio UX2) is a USB-powered audio interface and modeling hardware designed for home studio recording. Released as a successor to earlier Line 6 modeling gear, it is known for its ability to provide low-latency monitoring (ToneDirect) and a wide array of guitar, bass, and studio effect models through the bundled POD Farm software. Tape Op Tape Op +4 Key Features Inputs/Outputs: The UX2 features two balanced XLR mic inputs with high-quality preamps, phantom power, and trim knobs; two 1/4-inch guitar/bass inputs (normal or pad); stereo 1/4-inch line inputs; and a 1/4-inch stereo headphone output. Monitoring: The "ToneDirect" monitoring system allows for recording with fully processed amp models without perceptible latency. Modeling Capabilities: Includes POD Farm software, which provides over 80 models of guitar amps, bass amps, preamps, and stompbox effects. Design: It features a desktop console design with assignable VU meters for monitoring input levels. Software Compatibility: While it was originally designed for Gearbox, it uses the POD Farm plug-in, compatible with VST, AU, and RTAS formats on Mac and Windows.
