Antique tool c.1900 Outside Calipers Utica Odd Fellows Masonic

Antique steel outside calipers, approximately 6 inches long, with a great old forged-tool look and original age/patina. The tool carries a distinctive three interlocking oval / chain-link stamp. The mark is a strong visual match for the early Utica Drop Forge & Tool Co. three-oval trademark, first used around 1900 and associated with early Utica tools before the company moved to its later three-diamond mark. The three linked ovals also resemble traditional Odd Fellows / fraternal three-link symbolism, so I’m describing the identification as possible rather than definitive. I have not found a maker name elsewhere on the tool. Likely circa 1900–1910 if the Utica mark identification is correct. Traditional firm-joint outside calipers used by machinists, metalworkers, woodworkers, patternmakers and other tradespeople for comparing and transferring outside measurements.
