Waterford Crystal Colleen Wine Glass

Waterford Crystal Colleen pattern claret or white wine glass. The Colleen pattern, introduced in 1953, is known for its signature rounded, oval cuts that capture light beautifully. This appears to be a short-stem claret wine glass, measuring approximately 4 3/4 inches tall. It is made of lead crystal, which makes it significantly heavier than standard glass and produces a clear, bell-like sound when gently tapped. Genuine Waterford pieces made since the 1950s usually have an acid-etched mark that says "Waterford" or features the seahorse logo, often found on the base of the stem. It has an ITF logo (International Tennis Federation) and may have been a prize for a tournament at some point.
