A Little History The 1999 Ford Mustang GT was part of the fourth-generation Mustang, known internally as the SN95, which debuted in 1994. It featured a more rounded, modern design while retaining the unmistakable character of America's iconic pony car. The 1999 model year was particularly significant because Ford introduced the 4.6-litre SOHC V8 engine in the Mustang GT, replacing the previous 5.0-litre V8. The new engine delivered a fresh chapter in Mustang performance while maintaining the GT's sporty appeal and everyday usability. With its aggressive styling, V8 heritage, and strong place in Mustang history, the SN95 generation remains popular among Ford enthusiasts and collectors. A great addition for Ford Mustang fans, American muscle car collectors, Maisto enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates classic 1990s performance cars.
