VTG bronze sculpture of a seated ancient Roman soldier

Vintage bronze sculpture representing a seated ancient Roman soldier or centurion. The classical figure features a detailed military helmet with a large crest, body armor, a draped cape, a shield resting behind his left side, and a short gladius sword held in his right hand. This specific composition is famously a historic design often associated as a reduction or reinterpretation of French academic sculpture (such as works after Eugène Guillaume or Émile Louis Picault) depicting a warrior, centurion, or Mars—the Roman God of War.
