This mineral specimen is a cluster of orange aragonite crystals and is museum quality.Composition: Aragonite is a carbonate mineral and one of the two common naturally occurring crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), the other being calcite.Structure: This specific variety is known for forming elongated, prismatic crystal columns clustered tightly together, creating a distinct "flowery" or starburst layout.Color: The warm, honey-orange to reddish-brown coloration is typically caused by the presence of trace iron oxide impurities trapped within the crystal structure during its formation.
