Metal Necklace and Ring Set from Jamaica

Two pieces given as a gift to me which I do not wear. They were purchased from a crafts person in Jamaica. There is a strong metal quality to the necklace and ring, and the surfaces have reflection to them, but I am unable to identify the material.
The ring measures at just under 1 inch wide (2cm). They are priced together.
