RCMP Solid Brass Decorative Plate

Bring an elegant anchor of classic Canadiana into your space with this striking vintage commemorative dish. The bright, high-polish solid brass octagonal frame offers a beautiful architectural silhouette that effortlessly elevates a mid-century office desk, entryway console, or an eclectic gallery wall. At its center rests a pristine porcelain insert featuring the finely detailed, multi-color official crest of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), complete with the iconic bison head and the legendary motto "Maintiens le Droit". This versatile piece serves beautifully as a heavy-duty catchall trinket dish, a sophisticated desk coaster, or a sculptural wall accent for any collector of historical Canadian memorabilia. This piece carries stellar factory provenance, showcasing the original metallic foil manufacturer label on the reverse side from Fantasy Copperware. Operating out of Quebec during the mid-to-late 20th century, Fantasy was highly celebrated for its boutique giftware and specialized metalwork, later introducing this premium "Non-Tarnishable Solid Brass" line. Designed with intentional dual-purpose functionality, the reverse features a dense, protective dark brown felt backing to safeguard polished wood surfaces, as well as a small built-in loop at the top rim for seamless wall hanging. The tape measure shows it commands a handsome presence at exactly 6 inches in diameter, making it a perfectly balanced, tactile historic token for a curated office or library display.
