A charming vintage ceramic tea caddy or storage jar from Japan, dating to the Mid-Century Modern (MCM) era, circa the early 1960s. Design: Features a distinctive octagonal/faceted shape with a creamy white (or pale yellow) colored glaze. Decoration: Hand-painted with bold, stylized cherry blossom (sakura) or plum blossom branches in black and vibrant orange/coral red. The sides have a textured or subtle crackle finish.
