Rare/discontinued All-Clad Copper Core round-bottom wok, complete with the original-style stainless draining/frying rack and burner support ring. This is not a standard stainless steel wok. It is from All-Clad's premium Copper Core collection, which uses a fully bonded 5-ply construction with a copper center for exceptionally fast, even and responsive heating. Why Copper Core is special: The cookware combines a durable stainless-steel cooking surface with layers of heat-conductive aluminum surrounding a copper core. Copper reacts very quickly when the burner temperature is adjusted, giving the cook considerably more control over heat than conventional stainless cookware. All-Clad describes Copper Core as designed for rapid heat conductivity and precise temperature control.
