This stunning piece of art was created by Dauphin, Manitoba artist Irene Kells . It is a depiction of Whirlpool Lake at Riding Mountain National Park . Called After the Fire . In reference to the forest fire of 1980 the ravaged the Whirlpool lake area . Painted with oil. Kells at the time was the owner of what was known as the “Manitouweeban” located in Tawapit Drive .
