Vintage, 1958, Rare, Collectible, Cast Iron Bottle opener featuring a Scottish Soldier's Head and a Shield with a lion Rampant Crest. Design: The bottle opener was designed by Paul Gladman in 1958 and is known as : "combined bottle opener & Mantel Ornament" Features: a figure wearing a Scottish Bonnet and a Shield adorned with a lion rampant, a common symbol in Scottish heraldry. Functionality: While primarily a decorative piece, it also functions as a bottle opener, with the opening mechanism typically hidden behind the shield or integrated into the design.
