Vintage Lausitzer Glas (also seen as Lausitzer or Lausiter) 24% lead oxide hand-cut crystal, made in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany / GDR). The original foil sticker matches the classic GDR-era labels used by Lausitzer Glas. Lausitzer was a major East German glassworks (roots in the late 19th century in the Lausitz/Weißwasser region; state-owned after WWII until reunification in 1990). It produced high-quality lead crystal (Bleikristall) tableware, bowls, and decorative pieces that were exported. The cut is a repeating diamond-point or hobnail-like pattern on the broad rim with a smooth central well—typical of their mid-to-late 20th-century hand-cut work (roughly 1960s–1980s).
