Valve Steam Controller with USB cable

    Electronics & Appliances ·

    $140

Valve Steam Controller was only made briefly and was loved by most (and hated by some) because of how different it was from conventional controllers. It was very advanced for its time and has 2 haptic feedback touch type directional pads. It also has gyroscope and accelerometer sensors enabling tilt-to-steer racing wheel functionality and other motion-controlled input which is similar to a Wii or VR controller. You can configure and use it in many different ways. I believe the goal of this was to bring PC gaming to the Couch (instead of consoles) the controller also works to control the Windows OS so you can use it as a mouse for general computer use when not gaming. Also the dual track pads were supposed to give you better control for First person shooters than a traditional gamepad. Included Wire is a very nice looking braided 3m USB Cable. The wireless dongle is missing I believe there may be a way of using a blue tooth adaptor to pair with it but I wasn't having luck with that, but didn't try too hard. Might also work with a Valve Steam Link! Works fine wired with the included long USB Cable. I think this was only available for a short time unfortunately some patent trolls stopped production and sales of the controller. Tons of buttons, and sensors, and innovation in this thing, it's a shame. "Dual-stage triggers, each with 10° of travel, a magnetic flux sensor, and a tactile switch" All the buttons have a good quality feel with tactile feedback. Not only does it have the now 'usual' top two layers of triggers but it also has 2 additional back triggers intelligently built into the battery holder cover area.
