Vintage Korg DW-8000 Synthesizer w/ Programmer

Vintage Synthesizer (1985) - digital analog hybrid Korg DW-8000 with boutique programmer. Pickup only from near Dupont Station (Dupont and Spadina Road). $1500 total for both. I'm open to selling the Retroaktiv programmer on its own for $800, but not the synth by itself right now. Includes two fabric dust covers, both power adapters, MIDI cables, the programmer's original box, and a memory expansion add-on for the programmer. For the programmer (DW-8P Programmer Mk 1 for Korg EX-8000, DW-6000 & DW-8000 Synthesizer), I bought this with the intention of making live shows more fun but ended up doing backing tracks and never took it out of the house, so it's like new. Note it is the mark 1, not 2. For the synth, it's not in perfect condition. There are a few sticky keys which are inconsistent, so you might want to clean or tune it up. It wasn't really an issue for me, so I never bothered. All of the interface buttons work, but some have inconsistent sensitivity. I have had this synth for 10 years and none of these minor issues have ever worsened. Using a controller also solves the sensitivity issues of the buttons (by bypassing their use). There was a fair amount of cosmetic damage on the case when I bought it. I love the sound of this synth; I'm basically quitting music now, or I would keep it. Sad to see it go. "The DW-8000 is something of a hidden gem, with a fervent following among its fans for good reason. Released in 1985 it was ahead of its time, coming with 16 digital waveforms and Korg's own gorgeous analog filter it is a lovely sounding hybrid. Add to that it came along with the world's first onboard digital delay and cost less than 20% of a PPG this was truly groundbreaking. The Prophet VS didn't arrive until a year later, and the Waldorf Microwave wasn't released until 1989."
