Hideous original vintage velvet painting

This astonishingly ugly velvet painting is a whopping 49” wide x 26” high (44” x 21” inside the frame) so it will fill enough of a wall to really generate some conversation. Presented mostly in moody oranges and reds, with the (sun? moon?) throwing light off heavy clouds over a darkly silhouetted suspension bridge, the lights of a city winking in the far distance, the water below reflecting light upward. The angles and light play in this one boggle the mind. This absolutely unparalleled piece is mounted to a lightweight hand-carved wooden frame, stamped on the back as being from Mexico. No mounting hardware on the backside, though picture wire could be easily added (we always just balanced it dangling off a nail).
