Antique/Vintage silver plated spoons marked with ‘1881 Rogers A1’ on the back (Willam A. Rogers, founded in 1881 - which his Company was later acquired by Oneida in 1929) - Spoons commemorating Military Leaders of Generals & Admirals during World War I. Spoons were produced & released by Rogers during and shortly after WW1 - as collectables during the War years and today they are sought after by collectors. Apld. for" Meaning: The mark stands for "Patent applied for".
