Design Collab No. 1 debuts small–space solutions by 12 students in the Designed Objects curriculum at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). SAIC student Jacob Lenard recognizes that "small dwellings sometimes lose the ability to welcome one into a space with no formal entryway. The Moment bench allows "temporary moments of transition." Hand painted in an industrial silver-grey, this open frame-in-frame construction of iron tube and metal organizes shoes in the entry—from flip flops to tall rain boots. The middle shelf suspends a geometric nook for smaller items while the top ledge offers a spot to sit. Measurements: L 36" × H 19" × D 11" Discontinued.
