This rare Staffordshire blue and white Burleigh Ironstone Toby Jug creamer, glazed in ombré indigo and white, features the character Sam Weller from Charles Dickens' The Pickwick Papers. This is a vintage collectible produced by Burgess & Leigh. It was designed by E.T. Bailey and generally dates back to the mid-20th century (c. 1960s–70s).
